Since last school year, La
Gloria ISD has been participating in the
"IMPROVING LITERACY
THROUGH SCHOOL LIBRARIES" GRANT PROGRAM
with the Education Service Center (Region 2).
Our school received
$2,300 to help us date our non-fiction collection.
The funds were used to purchase 117 titles. K - 3
are the grade levels of 75 of these books with the rest
being the 4 - 5 grade levels.
Students that have
visited the library with their teachers on "Library Day"
have had an opportunity to check out some of these
titles.
All the project money
books are Accelerated Reader books with the
exception of three.

available in the library for
"Library Day" on the
following dates throughout the
2007-2008 school year
