FOR SAFETY PURPOSES: All parents/visitors must sign in at the office before going to your child's classroom. The office will issue out a badge so that all staff members may be aware of who is on campus; this includes: signing students out, bringing lunch, medication or any other supplies, visiting classrooms & eating lunch with your child(ren). CAMPUS INFO: Parents, it's very important that you drop off/pick up your child(ren) at the east side of the campus; if you need to come inside the building, please park in the designated areas—north side of the building or by the horseshoe, without blocking the road around the horseshoe. Parking on the west side of the campus is for staff vehicles and school buses. The first bell rings @ 8:00 a.m. and the tardy bell rings @ 8:10 a.m. Please remember 3 tardies = 1 absence. Dismissal time for Kinder & 1st Grades is @ 3:30 p.m., for 2nd & 3rd Grade is @ 3:30 p.m. and for 4th—6th Grade is @ 3:30 p.m.

Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)
The {La Gloria ISD announced today it will operate the Community Eligibility
Program (CEP) under the
National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2023-2024
school year. Schools
qualifying to operate CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge
and eliminate the
collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price, and paid student meals.
This approach reduces
burdens for both families and school administrators and helps ensure that
students receive nutritious
meals.

Purpose
Contracting Entities (CEs) are required to provide public notification of the
availability of free and reduced-price
school meals prior to or during the first week of school. CEs may customize the
templates provided by TDA.
Directions
- Select the appropriate media release sample based on program and year of
operation.
- Provide the appropriate information for each description in brackets.
- Add CE or site specific information as needed.
- Attach a copy of the current income eligibility guidelines.
- Distribute widely through available media outlets.
- Retain a copy of the release onsite.
Frequency
Yearly, prior to or during the first week of school.
Required Format
Use this sample or a similar document. Attach the current income eligibility
guidelines, application form, or
sample letters as appropriate.
Records Retention
Releases kept onsite and made available on request. Public and charter schools
are required to keep
documentation related to school nutrition programs for 5 years. Private schools,
other nonprofit organizations,
and residential child care institutions (RCCIs) are required to keep
documentation for 3 years
